Our first exciting Arts Exchange Workshop of 2017 is “Using Art for Expression”. Join artists Margaret Kalms and Susan Hey to explore painting or photo manipulation in a friendly workshop open to the community.
About the Workshop
Following mindfulness and brainstorming activities, Susan will work with participants to explore mark making, drawing styles and painting, while Margaret will facilitate creative photo manipulation using layer styles and masking techniques in PhotoShop. Please indicate whether you are interested in painting or photo manipulation when you register.
Requirements for participants
Those interested in painting and drawing do not need to bring anything. Participants exploring photo manipulation need to bring their own laptops with image manipulation software loaded and some photos to practice manipulation with. Margaret will demonstrate using Photoshop. GIMP is similar software and can be downloaded free here: https://www.gimp.org
